Akatre was created in Paris in 2007 by Valentin Abad, Julien Dhivert et Sébastien Riveron.
They work mainly in art, culture, music, fashion and luxury fields. Akatre puts its multidisciplinary expertise (graphic design, typography, photography, video, objects…) in the service of corporations (Fondation Cartier, TU Nantes theater, Libération, Usbek&Rica, Tsugi magazine, WAD, Télérama, Issey Miyake, Gallery of Galeries Lafayette), but also develops its own projects such as video and photo (VJ in 2011 Paraone&Tacteel at the Gaité Lyrique).
From distorded and wonderful wierd typography to colorful still-life-photos containing stuffed animals, smoke and floating objects, Akatre have produced ‘slightly off’ campaigns for a wide range of actors in the cultural field.
In October 2012, the German publisher Gestalten produces their first monograph “Zero to Five” tracing five years of creations. http://www.akatre.com
